- °16 ounces strawberries washed and chopped
- °1 box of white cake mix
- °3 eggs
- °Quarter cup of oil
- °3 oz of strawberry jelly
- °strawberry frosting
- °Quarter cup of soft butter
- °¼ ounce soft cream cheese
- °1 teaspoon vanilla
- °3 cups powdered sugar
- °¼ cup of strawberry puree
Preheat oven to 350.
Start by adding strawberries to a blender or food preparation and mixing process. You will need 1 cup of strawberry puree for the cake mix, plus an additional ½ cup of strawberry puree for garnish.
Mixing cake mix, eggs, & oil in a bowl to well mixed. Adding JELL-O & 1 c strawberry puree. Blending well.
Pour into a greased 9×13 pan.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Let the cake cool.
While the cake is cooling, make the frosting by brushing the butter and cream cheese together. Add vanilla, powder sugar & strawberry puree. Frost cake.

The recipe for the strawberry cake says strawberry jelly in the ingredients but then it calls for strawberry Jello when mixing. Which is correct – jelly or Jello?
There are several discrepancies in the recipe. Is it strawberry jelly or strawberry jello? 1/4 cup of strawberry puree or 1/2 cup of strawberry puree? Is is 1/4 oz. of cream cheese or a 1/4 cup of cream cheese?
