Ingredients

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs room temp
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 3/4 cup of buttermilk (room temp)
  • 3/4 cup of plain black coffee
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup of coco powder
1.)Start by combining your dry ingredients. Flour, Baking soda, Baking powder, Coco powder and salt mix and set aside.
2.) In a different bowl combine your white sugar, Brown sugar and oil mix until combined. To that mixture add your eggs one at a time mixing after each addition for all three eggs. Once your eggs are all incorporated add your coffee, Buttermilk and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
3.)Now slowly add your flour and mix. ‼️DO NOT OVERMIX‼️ mix just until combined.
4.) Grease your desired pan and fill. Bake at 350 for 30-35 min or until a toothpick comes out clean when poked in the center.
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
•3 cups of powdered sugar

1 stick of butter (room temp)

  • 2/3 cup of coco powder
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla
  • 2/3 cup of heavy whipping cream
    1.) In a bowl sift in your powdered sugar and coco powder.
    2.) Add your room temp butter and mix.
    3.) Add your vanilla and heavy whipping cream. Add your heavy whipping cream in 1 tablespoon at a time mixing after each time you add heavy whipping cream. Add more or less heavy whipping cream to make your desired texture. If you like a thicker frosting less heavy cream. If you like a thinner frosting more heavy whipping cream.
